This release takes a fine audience camcorder video and syncs it with the excellent audio from the Sirius Records release ?By Tor and the Pink Wig?. There are two ?editions?; one is the ?Dual Cam Edition? which contains a 2 cam mix, one of the wide stage shot from the center-back of the arena, and the other cam shot from Geddy?s side providing excellent close-ups of all three members. The 2 cam mix does a decent job of alternating between the wide stage shot and the close-ups, but there is so much good close-up footage that an alternate ?Single Cam Edition? was created containing just the close-up cam. Each edition is its own 2-DVD set, so if you?re to collect both editions, you?ll wind up with 4 discs in total.

Neither video source contained footage of the opening Stooges theme through Tom Sawyer, so a photo collage is presented while the audio plays. The second close-up cam did not begin filming until ?Earthshine?, so both editions are essentially identical up to that point, utilizing the wide screen shot until the 2nd cam kicks in. And, since the single cam edition did not shoot any of the screen, a version of the ?Dragon Movie? was inserted at the appropriate spot to begin the second set just before ?One Little Victory?.

Of course the story behind the title of this release is probably well known by now, but hidden on both editions is an Easter egg containing the actual event that spawned it. See if you can find it.

Deserved credit goes to Kevin with Living After Midnight Videos for doing a fine job filming the close-up cam and creating the original 2 cam mix. The video is very nice, but it is the enhanced audio of this release that really makes this DVD a pleasure to experience. John A deserves kudos once again for the original DAT audio recording, and special thanks go out to Joe, Curtis and Norm with Sirius Records for their collaboration and assistance on this project.    (2003-06-12)
