The Digital Dan
   (Audio - 8)

Sources, sources, sources; there are plenty for this show. That led to some interesting options, such as the stereo matrix released originally. But there is another option like the live DTS-CD. I believe this is a first for the Rush community.? A total of 4 sources were used for the 5.1 DTS channels based on where each taper was located in the venue. The DTS version of this show really captures the ambience of the venue and the spirit of the performance like no stereo recording can. The sound quality is quite nice and each member of the band is well represented in the mix. The channels themselves were adjusted for matching SPL (sound pressure level).? Don't forget to play this recording at a healthy volume, the louder you play this show, the more detail you will hear. Thanks to the "Fellowship of M1's" for lending us these great sources to work on. To play back this recording you will need a system capable of decoding DTS signal, which includes just about every DVD player made over the last 4 years. Any system that can playback the DTS soundtrack of a movie can play this recording. The show itself can be copied just like another other audio CD. As with all Digital Reproductions releases, this is for free trade and blank media trade only. Please do not buy, sell, or distribute for profit. Help keep the spirit of trading alive and well.    (2002-08-15)

Wery, wery interesting.? I knew Digital Dan had something up his sleeves when he asked me for the DTS encoder!!!? I only have 2 channels of amplification so I couldn't take full advantage of the DTS signal, hence the non-grading of this show.? Looking forward to hearing the 6 channel mode soon.    (2002-12-19)
