This show was part of the "L.A. Forum '86 & '88 Tree", my first Rush tree, and it was almost a disaster!! and I'll tell you why. Thanks to Ron & Duley for pointing out that two of the songs were out of their original running order. I kind of had an idea, that something was wrong while I was engineering the show because I had a few of the '86 shows in my collection as well. To make a long story short, Jim the taper from the beginning handed me his tapes and said; "These are my master tapes", actually, the 2-6-86 tape was a back up from the master which is lost from what Jim claims. On the brighter side, I was glad that I put the two songs back in their original running order and this show is the better of the two that was tree'd in terms of sound quality. I would have to rate this recording a VG+ . If your wondering where I came up with the title "A Cinderella Story" for the show ? Of course, it's a lyric in the song "The Big Money". But, the real reason for the name co-relates to an event that happened to the taper's friend at the show. In fairy tale story, Cinderella lost one of her shoes fleeing from the King's Court Ball at the stroke of midnight. For the taper's story, Jim's friend lost a BIG bag of illegal substance upon arrival to the show. Do you see how the stories kind of co-relate? a little? oh well.........
