The Digital Dan

Taken from the analog masters, this is one of the best sounding shows of the entire Moving Pictures tour. The recording is from the band's 4th and final night in Chicago. Even though it is early in the tour, the performance is tight and spirited. All the instruments are clear and well defined. There is virtually no crowd noise at all around the taper. Even the roar of the crowd is low in the mix. The top end is a bit bright but the bottom end is nice and solid. There are two cuts, a minor one in the middle of "The Trees" and a slightly bigger one in "Natural Science" that loses a line of lyrics. Other than that, this is a complete show from beginning to end. There is also some swirling in the high end most likely a byproduct of the original recorder according to the taper. It gets progressively better as the show goes on. No hiss or noise reduction was used in this production. A special thanks to R.B. for donating his masters for this release.
