Rick's Mastering Notes

***THIS IS NOT A MASTER RECORDING, PCM-F1 BETA TAPE COPY (clone) FROM MASTER!***

My good friend Mark S. recorded this concert and made me a copy right away using
two Sony SL-2000 Beta units with the PCM-F1 processor. I can't remember if I made
any cassettes of this tape. I don't think so. I have no idea what Mark let out. This
came out great as he was on the main floor.  It took a lot to impress me but
this was one of them! This may be completly uncirculated. A lot of Rush fans have been
asking me for this. I believe it is all here. Quality control for the drop down is exactly
what you would expect from me. RB productions. ENJOY!

For those that never seen these units, here are a few url's:

PCM-F1/Beta clone SL-2000 RB

Tape: Marks master SL-2000>PCM-F1>(copy out)>SL-2000(clone)
SEAT: From memory, main floor 20 rows or so.
Tape: At this time, Sony 750 Beta (do I need to mention) Beta II
DECK: Sony units: PCM-F1 Digital Audio Processor/SL-2000 Video beta
MICS: THIS I KNOW! SONY ECM-33F CONDENSOR MICROPHONES.

Playback on SAME UNITS BUT NOT identical units (tracking adjusted).
I tested at least 12 beta units before I found a good sounding one.

Analog out on PCM>
Using Chord Company cables to and from Naim preamp
Played through the Naim Audio NAC-52 pre-amp>
to the Marantz CDR-600 (Philips CDR-101) Standalone CDR Burner.
Mastered to Gold Satin Taiyo Yuden 74-ZY CDR's (never anything else)
PC drive.....Plextor UltraPlex40max CDR-ROM SCSI (W/adaptec 2930 PCI)

All my uploads are exactly as the master...RAW! This includes all

don't let this discourage you to download.
