This has been three months in the making and it was well worth it, even if I will probably never listen to another Hold Your Fire show again.? :)? Seven shows, 3 soundchecks?. All the Hold Your Fire UK shows.? Some of the shows are pretty good, especially the later dates.? Most of the soundchecks stink but they do give the listener a brief window into the making of the show and are worth a listen at least once.? There are a few cuts here and there, especially in the early dates.? All in all though, this is a worthy addition to any collection.?
Note ? the artwork is designed to fit into started jewel cases as ?separate? shows (which they are of course).? Finding a 17 disc jewel case proved to be slightly difficult.
Special thanks goes out to Neph for the artwork, Gebs for providing the source and of course Mick for providing the tapes to Gebs?

I sampled most of this recording and its very distant and muddy. There are also significant mic noises here and there. There is really nothing unusual in this soundcheck. Alex plays a few patches of noisy guitar stuff, but it's not interesting and lasts only a few seconds. The only almost-interesting thing is at the end of track 8 and start of track 9 they finish the acoustic part of CTTH and where the electric part would start is about 11 seconds of an accerlating motorcycle or car noise that is not part of any Rush song; it's kind of like the sound guy just threw it in. Then the recording stops. (2006-02-18)

Songs played in case you're interested(some are partial and Geddy sometimes skips the lyrics):
Subd, Time, Manhattan, Prime Mover, Big M, CTTH (acoustic only). There are a few spoken remarks by Alex or Geddy, but you can't make them out.
I think Alex and later Geddy play a few seconds of a Zep riff (Black Dog?); not really interesting. (2006-07-13)
