Producers Notes:

A very very nice recording form the R30 tour. All the instruments are very clear. The vocals can be a little distant and "echoy" at times but I think that is a function of the venue more than anything else. I noticed again while working on this show that the Eruo fans so much more polite and quite than the American fans. It is a refreshing change not to have to listen to the clapper or the woo-woo guy. Hopefully he stays in North America for the next tour as well! The highlight of this show is the rant (of course) and a particular nice version of Dreamline. As a bonus there is filler material from a recently unearthed show from May 14th, 1979. Thanks for Gebs to finding this source. I'd hate to think what the Rush community would be without people like him.

Special thanks must go to the taper and the source of the artwork. Fans like these, without borders or agendas are what make this hobby fun!

This recording was produced by fans, for fans and is never to be sold. If you like this recording, support the artists and purchase their official releases! As is the Simple Man norm, this show is available on Direct Connect and will be traded freely to all comers.

One small note before listening to the show. When first released?the bonus tracks were mislabeled with the wrong date of 2-26-78; since then the proper dates have been changed so there may be a few versions with the old checksums, and file names for those five tracks, they are all fine but just labeled differently.   (2004-11-24)

This was my first recording in about 20 years and the result is pretty good. Recorded fourth row Geddy's side on the second night of the UK leg of the Euro tour. I had a problem with the mics, the clips got lost so?I had to attach them the best I could - you can hear the mics being moved during the intro but other than that I think I got away with it. The second night at Wembley was a better show than the first night, the band seemed more relaxed.   (2004-11-25)

Very powerful and moving versions of Resist, Secret Touch & Between the Wheels. The skeleton guy gets screwed up somehow during RtB, but that's what Rush gets for playing it on yet another tour instead of something I want to hear... I think Alex gets screwed up on just a couple of measures during Cygnus X-1, but it's funny, not show-killing or anything. Other than that, the show sounds just fine. Definitely recommended.   (2005-10-16)
