The Digital Dan
   (Audio - 7)

Another show from early in a tour. These shows are usually marred by string breakages for Alex and tonight is no exception. He keeps the guitar techs busy on several occasions on this night. The performance is very good despite the guitar problems and it is the full show from beginning to end. The sound isn't up to the level of the other shows available from this tour, but it definitely isn't the worse sounding show of the tour, those honors could go to several others! As with all Digital Reproductions recordings, it's only available via free trade and never for sale. Just visit the trading links section to find people that will gladly trade this recording for free.    (1999-04-01)

Ben's Comments
   (Audio - 7)

I'm told this is an early show from the PW tour. Some of the "newer" tunes prove that! Especially Grand Designs. Geddy's voice goes a bit flat and Alex loses a string at about the same time! Neil took a few unexpected liberties in his drum solo. Probably just stretching his muscles from the layoff between tours! The quality isn't "stellar" but it's not awful.. a bit "airy" but all the instruments are discernable. May be a "generation" thing.    (2001-06-24)

Ron's Rush RoIO Review

This show comes from only a few days into the PoW tour. As such, the band is trying to find it?s stride on this tape. The set list is the same as it would remain throughout the tour, with the exception that Witch Hunt is played later in this show. Alex is plagued by string breakages on this night, with problems occurring on The Spirit Of Radio, Grand Designs, and a few others. This is still a great performance, though -- great for mid-80s Rush. This is a very good sounding audience tape. The mix is great, as is the EQ. The only problem is that it sounds several generations removed from the source, as there is a significant amount of tape hiss present. Still, one of the better full PoW tapes I?ve heard.   (1999-04-01)
