This is a pretty good show; the VG+ is probably accurate. Geddy singing is clearer (more up-front) than the instruments, but you can hear the music just fine. It sounds like there's a little distortion, though it hardly interferes. One reason to mark it down are some bad cuts, and "Red Barchetta" is already well-begun when disc two starts. Given the other good MP shows out there, this shouldn't be anyone's first pick, but if you've gotten the others and want more, it'll do! (2003-07-04)

I believe i am the person who got this show into circulation. i was told this show was recorded with a boombox and that is was held up in the air and directed to the stage for most if not all of the concert.
i began colllecting and trading live recordings around 1983-1984. some time afte that i learned that this recording existed. after some urging i finally got my friend to bring the master over to me so i could make a copy. i tried to get him to leave me with the master, since i ws startng an archive, but he would not do.
not long after this, and perhaps after a few too many beers, one side of the tape was recorded over with an fm broadcast of a full album.... CAT STEVENS GREATEST HITS!!!
needless to say, soon after that the taper called me urgently, he came over and we proceded to record over cat stenvens greatest hits with a 2nd gen of the rush concert.
by now the mster would not have existed as my home in 2005 was flooded with 10feet of water for 18 days and i lost my old collection. i have yet to replace this recording. so if anyone reading this has a copy of it maybe we can make a trade. my new list is located at www.wennykelly.00server.com (2007-09-27)
