This was the first Rush concert I ever attended. The date and venue of this show have been in dispute, so I went to the Dayton library and copied the ad for the concert from an old newspaper. I liked it so much it is now the front cover of the CD. It was neat to obtain a tape of it 19 years later. The tapers did a good job; they didn't talk, shuffle the microphones, or cut songs up. They did, however, make a big mistake: they only brought one 90 minute tape! Every bit of the show up until the point right before Jacob's Ladder starts is included. The first 4 parts of 2112 and the first half of Natural Science have a little tape hiss, and the first half of Natural Science is a little garbled, but otherwise the sound is tolerable. This is more for the completist and the other 13,457 people other than me that were in attendance that night. If you want a quality recording from the Permanent Waves tour, listen to the St. Louis show or the part of Exit...Stage Left recorded in the U.K. in 1980. The best part of this CD is at the very end, the country music jam that Rush plays sometimes.   (2002-11-14)
