The Digital Dan
   (Audio - 8)

Wow, what a show! This is the best sounding show of the HYF tour. All the instruments are incredibly clear and distinct. You can hear every nuance of the show right down to the special effects and the sound effects go from left to right just like they're supposed to do. Even the beginning of 2112 is clear and you can hear a slight echo of the venue with each stop beat! The audience around the taper is superb, no talking, no excessive yelling or clapping. This source is a 2nd generation of the master, so this is as good as it gets. Only drawback is that it is only the final 2/3's of the concert and there is an abrupt transition from 2112 to La Villa due to a tape flip? I wish there was a full source for this show, but alas this is all there is according to the gentleman that taped it. Alex once again is having a little fun with some color commentary during 2112, poor Geddy. Neil sounds great tonight as he is beating the drums with great authority. If you are to get a show from the HYF tour, this should be high on your list. Personally, the sound and dynamics of this show are superior to even the Omaha show, I should know, I produced both. As with all Digital Reproductions recordings, it's only available via free trade and never for sale. Good audience recording but cut and clipped all over the place...   (2010-04-25)
