I remastered the Scanning for Dragons for personal reasons and thought I'd share the remaster with the Rush community. Here's a list of few things I did: 1) Added bottom end!! SfD lacks bottom end is an understatement; 2) performed some expansion on the scanner portion of the show; 3) indexed it according to what I felt were good index points, 4) added slight reverb to the scanner portion to give some depth, and 5) edited out some pops and that huge reception static in The Big Money; 6) put the show onto 2 CDR rather than 3 and cross faded audience sections for a smoother transition.... oh and most importantly 7) made up some artworks for you artwork hungry collectors. Personally, I do NOT like scanner types of recordings. They are very dry, sterile and in most cases, MONO. The overall mix was flat and very compressed, the sound was very hollow and always have a tendency to sound very shrill-like, but hopefully the remaster helped it a bit. I'm sure there are more processing that can be performed to improve this scanner recording, and maybe someone with more processing knowledge and experience can do such that in the future. In the meantime, hope you enjoy this remaster.    (2002-12-14)
