Producer Notes:

It's been a few years since the original VCD production of this title, and the 10th anniversary of this excellent concert it seems like a fitting time for this DVD release. There have been a few DVD-Rs of this show circulating in trading circles, even one borrowing the original VCD title, but this the "official" AppleJack Studios produced version of the title.

And, although the title is the same and artwork is similarly updated from the VCD release, this is in actuality an all-new production. A different low-gen VHS copy of the in-house feed from the arena was used as the video source, generously contributed from the collection of "Gandalf". The video quality is superb, the colors are rich and full, the detail crisp, and only on a handful of occasions is the slightest hint that the video isn't a master copy. This picture looks as good on a big screen as it does on a small one, and if you have ever seen a video bootleg on big screen television, you understand what a compliment this is.

The audio is also excellent. Once again, it was sourced from the "Critical Mass" bootleg, but for this release it was nicely remastered by Rush-Signals productions and has a new fullness and bass presence that was somewhat lacking in the original bootleg audio. Collectors of other versions of this show will recall that there are 40-odd seconds missing from YYZ on the video feed; for this release, the audio was retained intact and a short slide show of stills is presented during this portion of the concert.

Thanks and credits go to Gandalf for donating the video source, to leegeddy for facilitating the donation, to Dave at Rush-Signals Productions for the fine audio remastering, and to Duley for another stellar job on the DVD cover and menu artwork. Please trade this production freely, it was made by fans for fans, and is never to be bought or sold.   (2004-03-22)

FANTASTIC!!! What a treat to my eyes. This is the best version of the famous Auburn Hills '94 Proshot that I have ever seen. If you didn't know that the video is from 1994, you could believe that the source was from a DV or some sort. It is crystal clear without any harshness nor the grainyness.

I'm sure that the lineage question will come up regarding the source used for this DVD. The actual VHS tape was provided by a longtime collector friend from Atlanta (thank you, old man) who obtained a copy from Mr. Kevin W., who acknowleges that his source was directly off the master video. In essence, the BEST possible gen for the VHS tape is 2nd. However, due to its uncertainty, the generation information can not be positively confirmed.

This is, by far, the best picture quality I have seen of this video. The audio was taken from the liberated bootleg "Critical Mass" and remastered. Sounds damn good, IMO. Overall, this is a very enjoyable production and there is absolutely no synchronization issue between the audio and the video.    (2004-03-22)

I remember getting a copy of this a while back ago on VHS and enjoyed it a lot. Now with this version released, its simply fantastic! Its nice to see the maximum bitrate was used for mpeg2 video and the fact that PCM (uncompressed) format was used for the audio. A wonderful menu rounds out this dvd. Definite must have.   (2004-09-02)

Believe me when I say you are NOT going to find a better copy of this recording, I know, I've tried. When I first obtained this recording on VHS many years ago, it was great except it was too high generation for me. I searched and searched for lower gen copies. I have about a dozen or so VHS copies of this show. This DVDR blows them all away. Before getting this DVDR I got a copy of a very low gen DVDR copy ... this beat that ! This beats ALL ! Crisp colors, great sound, great video, great, great, great ! You MUST obtain this DVDR !   (2004-09-22)

This is a truly outstanding DVD from the tour supporting probably their best album. No complaints here, besides the fact that the filming was a bit amateurish, but that's really nit-picking. Overall a nice way to capture the band around this period!   (2007-09-15)
