The Digital Dan
   (Audio - 8.5)

A couple of remarkable audience DAT masters from the boy\'s two night stay at the Madison Square Gardens. Both shows are of identical sound quality and consistency. They are very clear sounding without any singular annoying fans around the taper. All the instruments are very well presented with maybe the bass not as strong as on other sources from this tour. Definitely among the finest sounding audience recordings of the entire tour. This is also the 3rd DR Box Set release. In order to make your own box set simply obtain a 4cdr jewel case, often referred to as a "fat box" and print out the artwork. Makes a very nice and highly recommended set. As with all Digital Reproductions releases, this is meant for free trade only and is not intended to be bought or sold under any circumstances. Help keep the spirit of trading alive!    (2001-11-14)

Ron's Rush RoIO Review

This is the first of two nights at MSG. It?s a very good show, even though Geddy?s voice sounds a bit strained at times. This came from a CDR entitled "Live at Madison Square Garden." I don?t have any more info on the CD though. It sounds like a home project, since there are fades between every song. Geddy?s comments are preserved, but the fades between the medley portions of Xanadu and Prelude are annoying. The sound in all other respects is fantastic. It?s very clear, with a wide dynamic range. There?s a bit of bass-end distortion, but that?s about it. Dreamline is missing, but there are no cuts in the rest of the songs.    (1999-04-01)
