Ron's Rush RoIO Review

Another relatively rare show from the German leg of the "Signals" Tour. As with the night before, this tape is missing "The Camera Eye," and the clean edit makes me wonder if the song was even played on this night. Several other songs are missing from this tape or partially cut. What is here sounds quite good, with only some mid-range distortion preventing a higher grade. This sound like it was a very small hall ? its definitely got that intimate feeling. An enjoyable ? if not the best-sounding ? Signals show.    (1999-04-01)

This is a relatively rare Signals show of the European leg of the tour, Rush's first and only appearance there in the suburbs of Heidelberg. The venue is a rather small sports arena (capacity 4,000), typical for rock shows here since the early 70?s. The source does only sound average compared with other Signals releases and does not have the intro plus The Spirit of Radio, and it is basically a remaster of the show that is circulating but the overall sound truly reflects the spirit and atmosphere of this small venue.? As an aside, the commander of the American troops in Heidelberg is a Colonel Rush, btw.? Available for free trade only, do not sell or distribute for profit.    (2003-11-30)
