Ron's Rush RoIO Review

Another fantastic Moving Pictures show, this is interesting because it comes from one of the shows Rush was taping for the ESL album. It?s hard to tell if any of these songs actually made it, but the version of Freewill sounds like it could have. With sound rivaling that of Chicago (3/1/80), this is one of the best MP shows out there. The only flaw is that the fidelity is slightly lacking when compared to Chicago. Nevertheless, this tape makes for some great listening. Highly recommended!    (1999-04-01)

The Digital Dan
   (Audio - 7.5)

This is kind of the tale of two recordings. At times this show is brilliant sounding, one of the best from the MP tour. Other times the sound is muffled and dull with the low bass being somewhat distorted. I'd say the mix is 40% EX- and 60% VG+ and completely worth while to listen. The bizarre intro to La Villa is really cool, Alex does a little ditty that I hadn't heard before.    (2002-04-01)

Dionysus 10
   (Audio - 7.5)

After listening to this show it sounds like La Villa Strangiato may have ended up on Exit...Stage Left. (Minus the little ditty that Alex plays at the beginning) If you listen to Geddy introduce the song it sounds exactly the same as well as Geddy thanking the audience & saying good night at the end. I Tried to listen to see if any other songs we're used on Exit...Stage Left but it was kind of hard to tell.    (2002-12-23)
